Smith Park Penthouse

The design for a new penthouse on top of a loft condo building in Chicago’s Smith Park neighborhood takes advantage of its orientation to provide expansive views of the skyline. Large glazed openings and sliding doors provide ample daylight to the relatively compact interior lounge. Outside, the wrap-around deck is partially covered by a wood trellis which also forms a shade for the southern facing windows.
