Wilson Street Addition
A simple, early 20th century farmhouse in need of major updates provided the starting point for the project, which grew to include a sensitive 2 story addition toward the rear of the home. The addition respects the massing and character of the existing home, while providing additional space for a modern open floor plan inside.
Several design massing options were explored from the standpoint of budget, structure, curb appeal, and function. The selected design represents the ideal combination of these factors.
Arko Architecture provided planning, design, and permit drawing services, along with as-needed design coordination during construction. The completed project transforms what was the ugliest house on the street into one of the most desirable.
